Twins Matt and Alexis find out from their father that their family has just inherited a mansion in an obscure town just outside of Millersburg named Pinewood. They are disappointed to have to spend a week at this manion, but are delighted at the sudden financial windfall. Once they arrive at the house, they are amazed by the size and grandeur of it. But, shortly into their stay they begin to notice strange things happening. Alexis begins to feel as though something is not quite right with this house. When they meet up with Val, they learn the dark and grisly history of the house, and the town. They quickly find themselves trapped in a life and death struggle with forces beyond their comprehension. For the family to survive, it must escape.
