Can Sparky run in a straight line? Will Maggie think of anything but food? How speedy is Speedy? Will any of them make it to the finish line? Sparky artist Pilar Newton is there, too, with her wonderful black-and-white illustrations capturing all the excitement of the 24-page rhyming story from start to finish. A map of the race helps young readers follow Sparky, Speedy and Maggie on their way to the finish line. And of course, the drawings are suitable for coloring.
