If you aspire to play in your local community orchestra, school orchestra or even a professional orchestra someday, The ABCs of String Orchestra--Level 1 is a great way to begin! Expertly arranged to have a full and satisfying sound by Janice Tucker Rhoda and Andrew Balant, each individual part gives you valuable reading experience, and progresses gradually and logically while developing left hand and bow arm techniques.

The parts sold separately are as follows: Full Score, 1st Violin, 2nd Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass and Piano Accompaniment.

Can also be used for string quartet playing! The viola and 2nd violin lines are the same, just in case there aren't enough violists!

There are 21 orchestra pieces in total! Here is a partial list of popular melodies as well as original works:

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Jingle Bells, My Dreydl, Frere Jacques, School Is Out!, Violin Concerto Theme by Beethoven, Arkansas Traveler, Alouette, O Pastorzinho, O Come All Ye Faithful, A Shakespeare Play, Bobbing For Apples-Jig, Irish Washer Woman, Chinese River Flowing and Ode to Joy by Beethoven. Three pertinent scales for warm up are included in each part!
