In his latest adventure, third-grader Robert Dorfman endures a triple-rotten day, complete with a trip to the orthodontist, a new palate expander, and mushed-up baby food. An emergency visit to the veterinarian ensues when he thinks his dog, Huckleberry, has swallowed a missing orthodontic wire. Home again, Robert tries to teach Huck the tricks he's seen on a wonder-dog video. Robert even jumps through the hoop to show Huck how, but the mutt would rather chase imaginary squirrels. Adding to his troubles, Robert has to scheme to get time on the computer, fighting everybody else in the house for cyber-time. How can he write to his email buddy, as part of his school project, if he can't get access to the computer? Robert's usual resourcefulness is taxed to the max in this funny new entry in Barbara Seuling's acclaimed series.
