But noises coming through her bedroom wall at night - low growls, scraping sounds, and a clinking chain - convince Cody it's not just her imagination. Determined to prove her story, Cody turns detective and begins collecting "evidence," even creeping out of bed after midnight to follow the man and his huge cat as they hurry down the dark alley toward the park across the street. Before Cody can tell her folks, someone else spots them and runs in terror to the police, starting rumors of a wild animal on the loose.
