Draw your child's attention to the last pages in particular to help him or her see that the gift of a Savior is a personal one. God had a plan for salvation which was fulfilled through Jesus. His birth was humble, His life perfect, so that He would take the punishment for our sins to the cross. His glorious resurrection on Easter assures each believer of eternal life in heaven. Do you have a nativity set? Or do you have a favorite Christmas book that shows the baby Jesus? If so, let your child hold the baby or the picture. Then read the prayer found in the last verse of this book together with your child. Remember that the promise was fulfilled for you as well. The Editor.
