I purchased this book in a used book store, for my grandchildren, after reading the first few pages. It absolutely terrorized my 3 year old grand-daughter. She cried at the end, I and felt horrible for subjecting her to this violent and threatening tale. I had to make up an alternate ending to comfo... more
