Book Description
Set in the English Civil War, this story follows the fortunes of the four children of Colonel Beverley. Due to their father's death, killed fighting for King Charles, they have to escape to the forester's cottage. Although they adapt cheerfully, Edward feels a desire to avenge King and country.
