This interactive program focuses on client education and allows clients to monitor their own behavior with a number of forms covering many aspects of their treatment. Clients learn about the nature of their problems, underlying causes and effective cognitive coping strategies by which to take control of their lives and initiate positive change. The therapist/client team can use the therapy modules in any sequence or combination appropriate for treatment.
The information and recovery strategies can be used with clients who abuse or are dependent on alcohol, sedatives, tobacco, cocaine, methamphetamines, and other stimulants, heroin and other opioids, cannabis, hallucinogens, and inhalants.
The Client Workbook provides a solid background using a modular approach on the nature of substance abuse, treatment approaches and coping tactics, and provides examples of thinking and behavioral patterns that contribute to the cycle of abuse. Emphasis is on tailoring the sequence of the therapy modules to the needs of the client.
