11/9/2007 Stephanie McNamara said: James Ransome is the first person I ever met from this industry. He was signing this book in Richmond, VA and gave me a contact from Greenwillow - I thought it was that easy! It wasn't - but he was so super nice and his illustrations (paintings) are captivating.
