Award-winning author Joan Barsotti is a sought after story-teller at elementary schools all over California and writes children's books. She has a degree in child psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, and has been teaching and speaking for over ten years. She and her husband Gael own and run an apple orchard/cider mill in beautiful Apple Hill in Camino, California. Artist Carol Mathis, who is well known for her mastery of oil paintings and historical illustrations, brings these children's books to life with wonderful illustrations. She is a highly respected local artist in California's El Dorado County. Carol's preference for oil paintings enables her to develop a wonderful richness and liveliness in her illustrations. Children are delighted with all of the richly illustrated books where her paintings may be found.
