Barbara Donnelly Lane is a freelance writer,
playwright, and accomplished public
speaker. She's sold thousands of copies of
her children's books, The Monster Boring and The Book Garden, which have been used
for classroom instruction and inspirational
reading for children from Pre-K to fifth grade.

In addition, Barbara's work has appeared in a variety of
publications including The Atlanta Journal
Constitution, Beyond Centauri, Georgia Family Magazine,
SHINE brightly, The Palo Alto Review, Rainy
Day Corner, All Things Girl, On the Line Magazine, The Amethyst Review (Canada), and more. Her play
"I Left A Dead Man In A Bathtub In England" was the opening show of the FMPAT New Plays Festival in Dallas,
Texas in 2004. Her work was chosen as a semi-finalist entry in the 2007 William Faulkner - William Wisdom Creative Writing Competition for "novel in progress."

While from Atlanta, Georgia, Barbara has lived in the United Kingdom with her family since 2006.
