Anatoly Volynets is a psychologist, educator, scholar, former programmer, co-founder of a software consulting company Total Knowledge (California) and NGO Dialogue of Cultures XXI (Ukraine). He is a research fellow at the Ukrainian National Institute of Psychology, a participant in "The School of the Dialogue of Cultures" project, author of articles on psychology and technology of education. Lives in Belmont, California.

In the 1980s Anatoly Volynets conducted a series of experimental philosophical dialogues in elementary schools. These experiments inspired the dialogues which comprise the large part of "Culture vs. Copyright," while knowledge acquired from studies, research, and thinking contribute to the content of this book.
