Whitecap Books
Whitecap Books is mostly interested in publishing nonfiction literary with a Canadian and international focus. Currently emphasizing children with regards to natural history. There is not as much interest in fiction type books. We publish books on North American natural history, regional topics, gardening, cooking, Canadian history, and juvenile non-fiction. We publish a small number of picture books for young children focused on themes of nature, wildlife and animals. We publish colour scenic books and travel; however these are most often produced in-house. We will only consider submissions that fall into the categories below: Cookbooks Wine and spirits Regional travel Home and garden Canadian history North American natural history At this time, we are not accepting submissions that fall into the following categories: Children’s picture books Juvenile series-based fiction Adult fiction Self-help or inspirational books Political, social commentary, or issue books General how-to books Biographies or memoirs Business and finance Art and architecture Religion and spirituality
Specifically interested in books with these subjects or themes: juvenile fiction, young adult fiction, non-fiction, picture books for young children (nature, wildlife and animals)
