Publisher Information

SCP Childrens Ltd (Scottish Children's Press)

We publish quality Scottish interest books for children of all ages. Since our launch in 1995, Scottish Childrens Press has blossomed in 1999 we stepped away from our parent to form our own independent company, under new management, and after a few upheavals (moving from Aberdeen to Edinburgh) we have now finally settled into our new home at Newbattle Abbey, just outside Dalkeith, Scotland. From here, we handle the distribution of Scottish Cultural Press and Scottish Children's Press. Our list has mirrored this dramatic growth and now encompasses a wide range of material from graded readers to teachers resource books, from fun and games to young fiction. Our books are written for, about and even by Scottish children and encompass Scots, English and Gaelic. With an ever-increasing influx of new Scottish talent, we feel proud to be involved in promoting Scottish writers in their own country. To find out how you can get involved, see the links on the right.

Specifically interested in books with these subjects or themes: scottish books for children - picture, fiction for 5-8 and 9-12, reference, poetry, cookery.
