Hi! I was born in Lima, Peru, and moved to the U.S. with my family as a child... so I've been bilingual for most of my life. I first learned the art of translation at home, and I've enjoyed the opportunity to translate quite a few children's books. I particularly enjoy the challenge of translating poetry and songs.

In addition to my freelance work translating, editing, and writing, I have worked as a teacher, a social worker, and now as an organization development consultant. I've realized that "building bridges" by helping people's voices and stories be heard, is a thread that runs through the various kinds of work I do. When facilitating a group, my intention is to help people hear and understand one another better, so they can work together in more creative and effective ways. When translating a story or a poem, my intention to help the reader hear the author's voice, so that he or she can enjoy the grace and spirit of the author's original work.
