RazorBill(Imprint of Penguin Young Readers Group)
Razorbill, which launched in Fall 2004, is dedicated to publishing teen and 'tween books for "kids who love to read, hate to read, want to read, need to read." A typical Razorbill book is contemporary commercial fiction, with a high-concept plot hook and a fresh, eye-catching package that a young reader will pick up on his or her own. The imprint publishes between 30 and 40 new titles a year, both stand-alone titles and limited series (3-6 books.) Formats range from paperback to hardcover, with an emphasis on alternative formats and trim sizes. Hardcovers and trade paperbacks appear in mass-market formats 12 to 18 months after initial publication.
