Publisher Information
UXL
UXL's goal is to make comprehensive reference books at a reading level of the average seventh grader, focusing on the curriculum topics they study in school and presenting that information in an attractive, inviting way. UXL gives students everything they need in order to complete homework assignments, write research papers or just read for recreation. UXL's slogan is, "Serving the Reference Needs of Students." UXL's titles are concentrated in five major curriculum areas: science and medicine; history and social sciences; nation and world; multicultural studies; and a catchall of arts and performing arts, sports, careers and other topics kids find interesting. In general, we produce five types of books: Encyclopedias; Biographies; Almanacs; Chronologies; and Primary Source/Voices volumes. Through the different types of books, we offer a number of different ways to explore a particular subject.
