My name is Walter Carzon and I was born in Argentina in 1965 (http://waltercarzon.wix.com/wcstudio).
I have a vast experience in penciling comics and illustrating children’s book featuring traditional licensed characters for international corporations, such as Warner Bros, Disney Worldwide Publishing and Scholastic Inc., among many others.
In 1992, Warner Bros Publishing granted me the exclusivity to draw “Pinky and The Brain” comics, published by DC Comics. In that same year I illustrated different comic books for Marvel Comics and Disney Publishing, among which "The Little Mermaid", "Duck Tales", "Tales Spin," and "Goofy Troop" can be mentioned.
Furthermore, I am a co-founder of the international art studio “Duendes del Sur,” where I currently work as Art Director.
For some years I was part of Warner Bros’ designated team of correctors of "Tom and Jerry" and "Looney Tunes" licenses for the Italian editorial market.
In 2004, The American Bible Society and Scholastic Inc. assigned me the aesthetics and characters design for their first Children’s Illustrated Bible as well as for several publications which followed it.
I have also designed many characters for different advertising agencies and entertainment media, such as “Serenito’s Genie” for Danone, “Cow Cora” for Sancor, among others.
Since the year 2007 I have included to my professional career the development of editorial projects with art of my own, and, as a result, several of my collections have been published by different publishing houses in Argentina. Among my most significant publications, “Classic Children’s Stories (adapted to the different regions and aboriginal cultures of our country)”, “Urban Legends” and “Thomas and the Red Mountain” can be highlighted.
In the year 2005 I was selected as a Latin American artist to take part in the first seminar on “Disney Princesses,” organized by The Walt Disney Company in Paris, France.
