María Victoria Bisheimer has a degree in Biological Sciences. She conducted graduate studies in the conservation area obtaining the title of Magister. Is an independent environmental consultant, and spends much of her professional time to the management and conduct of books and other outreach projects of native flora and fauna.

Also conducted research in the area of animal behavior and bioacoustics birds and primates, and monitoring of biodiversity in various forest environments and forest areas of Argentina, Brazil, Peru and the United States.

Her focus of interest are: biodiversity, conservation, ecology, bioacoustics, environmental education and dissemination of knowledge on indigenous nature.

"One of the strongest initial ideas I had in my head while studying biology, was to help others understand some general concepts of nature as:

What does it mean that something is native or exotic, examples and the importance of natural environments.

That there is no bad and good in chains predator.

That man is PART of that nature which insists on naming from outside.

That a more diverse environment is not more important ecologically or prettiest. Deserts and forests are important and charm.

The way I guide this ideas is mostly by books, either as author, editor or collaborator."
