13 years ago, my niece Kailyn Elizabth Ancar died from complications of Leukemia (AML). At that time, my daughter was 7 years old and had so many questions, "Why is Kailyn sick?", "Why can't I donate my bone marrow?", "Why did Kailyn die?".

I wrote three stories; "Kailyn Has Leukemia", "A Good Day for Kailyn" and "Kailyn's Birthday Surprise" to keep Kailyn's spirit alive.

After Hurricane Katrina, I thought I lost all of the stories, but my sister found them and I revised them. Now I have "Kailyn Has Leukemia" ready for publication and have been trying to find a publisher for some time now. I am in the process of self-publishing on lulu.com and I found this page.
