About Monika
I am a children's book writer and elementary school librarian.
My first middle grade novel, THE DOG IN THE WOOD, has been published on November 1st, 2009. It is set in Germany after World War II and based on my father's childhood experiences after the Soviet Army occupied his village.
My next novel, SARSAWATI'S WAY, will be published by Farrar Straus Giroux in the fall of 2010.
