Nick Poullis was born in Henley-on-Thames in 1974. After studying at the University of East Anglia, Cambridge Campus, gaining a B.A. Hons in illustration, he went on to illustrate books including The Constables of Horley Mill, by Clair Constable, published by Surrey Mills UK and the award winning The Voyage of the Arctic Tern by Hugh Montgomery, published by Candlewick Press U.S.A., Walker Books U.K. and Synapse, U.K. His watercolours have been exhibited at the Royal Watercolour Society, the Royal Society of British Artists, Sunday Times Singer and Friedlander Exhibition, the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists and the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours. He writes regularly for The Artist. He previously won the Baker Tilly award at the Royal Watercolour Society where he has regularly exhibited since 2001. Work by Nick Poullis is in the collections of the Royal Air Force, St. John’s College, Cambridge, the Yorkshire Building Society and Baker Tilly Chartered Accountants and many private collections.
