Deborah Healy has worked as an illustrator and animator over her career. She has illustrated childrens books for Simon Schuster, HarperCollins, School Specialty Publishing, and others.

Her animations have been shown at various festivals; Annecy, Zagreb, Chicago Art Institute Festival, Lincoln Center, and Sinking Creek Festival.

Deborah has also worked at Walt Disney Feature Animation, and is currently a professor in the Animation Department at Ringling College of Art and Design where she teaches Concept (Character and Environment for film) Traditional Animation, and Drawing for Animation.

Deborah is also currently working on a book for Oxford University Press on designing for animation.
