I attended my first author visit today! I was a little nervous, but got past the nerves quickly. I love when you ask first graders if they have any questions and they respond by telling you their birth dates! LOL

Now that my book is finally being published, after five years of hard work, I am losing steam to actually market it. Anyone know an easier way to get a copy of my book looked at by a Barnes & Noble buyer in N.Y.?

I know this is probably a completely moronic question (I'm not computer savvy), but, how do I start a blog in which people can access and read?

Heather is going to have a battering ram of marketing set in place. Watch out world!

Marketing plan is in full force!!!! Author visit letter is drafted and envelopes are addressed. Hmmmm...anyone have any advice on when to mail out letters? Should I wait until the actual day of release, or could I send it a couple days prior to release??

Hello jacket flap friends!! Well, I was wondering if any of you have wonderful letter templates to mail to libraries for author visits? My mind is mush (a lot of stress lately, even getting sick now). I would be grateful for any submissions. :) And I would be happy to let you use my Utah dream... more

Needs a little help, but in over all good condition. $6500, willing to sell @$6000. Let me know if you... more

I swore to myself that I would not say anything about my book til it was published, but I'm too excited. The first book of the series is titled, Adventure's of the Tumbleweed Traveler. The Tumbleweed Traveler and his animal friends, explore the Mohave Desert's majestic beauty.

Can't wait to change my title from "writer" to "author" when my book comes out in October!! Who votes that I change it now????...Because I will if I get the majority of you voting pro-changing over to the "author" title. Why does Heather have to be sooo P.C.????

I'm proud of myself today. I practiced such restraint when I came in contact with the Nook Rep at Barnes & Noble. My first instinct was to trip him, but I know technology is not his fault. Please forgive me jacket flap members...lol

I am now a full-time writer/editor with Desert Rose Magazine. I'm very excited to help the magazine grow. Now let's see if I can get my children's book series published.
Comment by Heather Nobles on 4/23/2011 at 12:14 PM:
I never thought that I would be publishing magazine articles before I published my first children's book. But as fate would have it, my first article will be published in the next few weeks in the Desert Rose Magazine.
