M.E. Integrated Teaching Through the Arts, Lesley University 2011

Visual Arts teacher beginning in 2003, I have taught Art, Drawing, Intermediate Drawing, and Advanced Drawing. I work with grades 9-12. Although people find working with teenagers as a challenge, I quite enjoy the moments when they discover their abilities in art.

In 2008, my true journey began. It all started with the making of funny sock creatures. They were so full of character and personality. I haven't been able to stop making them. Soon, I was consumed with a story about them. That story became my life saver through tough times, and then in 2011, it became the focus of my thesis for my masters program. While writing my thesis, it became clear that I was diving into the world of children's book writing and illustrating. I have no idea what I'm doing, but it should be an exciting adventure.
