Moshe Marks is a 58 year old retired producer from the entertainment industry. He produced "A-List Projects," under the professional name of Chuck Marks (see Bio below.) Today, retired, he prefers his Hebrew name "Moshe."
Moshe writes under the alias of "Ben Adams," to protect others. "Slave, Slave Freedom," a book on child incest and abuse has garnered him attention and invitations to speak regarding the subject matter and it's lasting influence. Moshe recently appeared at the Jewish Theological Seminary, in NYC, as a guest speaker at Rabbi Weintraub's, Rabbi and Cantor class regarding the details of his book.
After Moshe contacted the "National Child Abuse Hotline, Childhelp USA," he was astonished to learn how many in the general public, and publishers alike, were reluctant to address this epidemic. They, in turn referred him to this site an a potential outlet.
"Slave, Slave, Freedom," is the account of his biological father's physical and sexual abuse upon him from age 6-13 and it's horrific impact upon his life.
This is not a children's book but it is about what can and does happen to children. It is not a happy story but it is a true story. This issue doesn't evaporate simply because it is sheltered by the press, clergy, therapeutic community and general public. Imagine how awful the life of the abused child is when he or she knows, the subject is so taboo, that they must endure the treachery of their abuser with little or no support.
"Slave, Slave, Freedom," likens abuse to the taking of a life. Moshe's story details how he never knew what life was like to be a "normal" child. Because his childhood was stripped from him the day he was raped. How could he live a child's life knowing what was waiting for him at home?
This was a giant step in his life to share this story. Further, it was qualified by his own mother and sister. That's another story but is included within the contest of this book.
The intention, here, is not to offend anyone but to bring awareness and help to this dire circumstance. Theorists have offered condolences and prospects as to why this offense occurred. They have praised the bravery it took to recount and share this tale of horror.
That is not enough, however. This entire account of one survivors life, is an open door into the psyche of both the abuser and the victim and the results thereof. This manuscript offers a vehicle to champion the issue from an actual living perspective.

MISSION STATEMENT
This manuscript is an actual account of the insidious sexual and physical abuse perpetrated upon me as a child by my biological father, and groups of others, and how it destroyed my entire “personal” life. My every day struggle documents the demons I faced and obstacles I conquered to survive in a world of which I had a secret, perverted perspective. My goal within the context of this work is to expose the desperate need of victims to be helped early in the abuse process and qualify the tragedies that will otherwise occur. I believe that offering a real name and life for observation and study will give other victims the strength to seek help and health care professional a perspective from which to further probe this silent epidemic.

For twenty-five years Chuck Marks was involved in the entertainment industry from production to finance. Some of his featured clients were Danny DeVito, Bruce Willis, Brett Leonard, Mike McGlone, Gary Busey and Steve Harvey. Chuck's production credits include film, series TV, commercials and show openers. The formats include live action, visual effects and animation. Products include, Mattel, GTE, McDonalds, Universal TV, HBO, Sony Music and Krogers Markets among others.
His career began at Cinema Products Corporation in West LA. There he assembled and led the Steadicam production team that won an Academy Award for technical achievement.
Walt Disney Productions recruited him as a member of the line production team for the feature films Black Hole and Tron. His next assignment was EPCOT Center, as Senior Analyst in charge of the total production cost of the project.
After EPCOT Chuck moved to New York City and joined Millimeter Magazine as Controller/Director of Operations. During his tenure, revenues were higher than any other period in the history of the company. When Millimeter was sold and moved its operations to LA and Chicago Chuck stayed in the City and returned to production.
He joined Doros Motion Studio, producing commercials and logo’s, until he accepted a position with a two-sister company PCA Studio and Jensen Communications.
He developed long form children’s projects for PCA of which two were optioned by GRAZ Entertainment in LA. For Jensen he produced short form for Citi Bank and Master Card. Chuck moved to Los Angeles to complete his work with GRAZ Entertainment.
A contract with L2 Entertainment in Santa Monica led to his position as Head of Production. There, he started the commercial division and produced an animated feature with motion capture of Danny DeVito.
Chuck continued producing commercials and videos for Boyington Films, BTG Productions and Planet Blue.
In ‘99 Chuck joined Spike Entertainment Worldwide as COO/Executive Producer where he produced Radio Free Sydney and Nike Dot Com, both for NIKE and the 2000 Olympics. His final project was Spike TV, a music video format, program for Network of the World, London, Eng.
