I'm a scratchboard artist! I've worked for the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and many others. I recently won 'Most Whimsical' at the Colorado Alliance of Illustrators show (and this for a pole-dancing rabbit)...

In terms of books, I've illustrated three cookbooks, a book on neurobiology ('Welcome to Your Brain') and its follow-up ("Welcome to Your Child's Brain", a short story collection ('The Seven Deadly Sins Sampler') and its follow-up ("Even Deadlier"), a science fiction anthology ("The Great Books Foundation Science Fiction Omnibus"), a short fiction anthology ("The Great Books Foundation Short Story Omnibus"), an economics text ("Consuming Interests: Great Ideas in Economics"), and "UNIX and Linux System Administration Handbook, 4th Edition" (and soon, the 5th edition!).

I haven't done any childrens books, but my illustrations have a decidedly 'childish' angle. I think business publications know that the suits need a smile (once in a while), and so a lot of my work involves cute animals and animated objects...
