Before I retired, I was the school librarian for a small school district in our county. What fun. Except that when I retired, the crazy supt. replaced me with a part-time aide! Talk about a slap int he face! But he's a jock/jerk!
Comment by Karen Fyke on 1/8/2010 at 8:24 AM:
I write non-fiction. Latest effort was the Eureka, Illinois, Celebrating 150 Years (sesquicentennial book). Am now working on the Woodford county veterans book (a two-year project).

I'm a fan of librarians -- especially when they're writers. I spent years in those shoes, and I appreciate all you do for kids. Isn't it fun showing them revisions?
