Over his twenty-year creative career, David Loew has earned an reputation as an illustrator, painter, designer and photographer. As an illustrator, he has worked with companies as varied as Playboy magazine, HBO and Leo Burnett; but he is best known as an illustrator of book covers. During his career he has created artwork for over 150 titles, among the authors are such notables as Stephen King, Joyce Carol Oates, Mary Higgens Clark, Ruth Rendell, Len Deighton and Derek Van Arman, to name a few.

Included in his work are several series for young adults, the include the very successful Twitches series, Silver Blades, and the Spinelli Mysteries.

As a fine artist he has worked in most media, from oil paints to etchings, and, most recently, exploring his interest in photography. He has exhibited in numerous group and one-man shows in both Europe, where he lived for several years, and the United States were he now resides.
