Born and raised in Russia, I attended the School of Applied Arts in Moscow for five years. I studied design, illustration and fine art. Now I am a Toronto based Illustrator, photographer and book cover Designer with more than fifteen years of experience in the book publishing field. For the last years I have created hundreds of book covers and illustrations for Random House, Bantam, Scholastic, Harper Collins, Harlequin, Penguin Group, Bloomsbury, Orca Books and other publishers.
As an illustrator, I am interested in creating an enchanting, curious and captivating art from an emotional, historical and cultural approach. Influenced by the great classical paintings, historical photography, Japanese art and costume design I love to illustrate whimsical and smart stories for children and young Adults.
When I am not creating illustrations, I spend my time writing and traveling, watching great movies and creating historical costumes, talking with friends and family.
