Besides having a general love of both two and three dimensional art, I have had a love of drawing stories with whimsical pictures since childhood. I have taken post grad studies in Visual Communication Design from Kent State University, a well as holding a B.S. in Education, K-8 and Early childhood, from the University of Akron. During My Post grad studies, I was introduced to Digital art while it was still in its infancy. I fell in love with the endless possibilities it provides for producing creative pieces of illustration. A Macintosh now is among the favorite mediums that I use, in addition to Graphite, Pastel and Colored Pencils, depending on which medium best suits the current project.

I am currently a board member of the Northern Ohio Region of the the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, (NOHSCBWI) . I have found SCBWI, an international society of the highest standards, to be a veritable necessity in order to be active in Children's Illustration.

I am also a member of the Northern Ohio Illustrators Society (NOIS), a local Professional Society that has helped support Ohio area illustrators of all genres.

I reside in Northern Ohio with my husband of 33 years. I am the mother of two grown daughters one granddaughter, and soon to be twin grandchildren.
