Grace Jolliffe lives on the west coast of Ireland, with her wonderful husband, one gorgeous rescued German Shepherd with attachment disorder, one tiny rescued Jack Russell pup who enjoys chewing on laptop leads and barking at her own reflection, four hens who regularly escape to visit the neighbours, and one lucky duck. Grace spends most of her time making up stories and she finds this preferable to the real world.

Her home is close to the Wild Atlantic Way route, and by pure coincidence this happens to be where she set her Ballyyahoo series of stories.

Grace used to write regularly for a children's radio show until the program was axed and the writing team was replaced with a talking dog.

In addition to writing for children she writes thrillers and black comedy for adults. She has also written for television, written and directed documentary as well as several award winning short films.

Grace's first novel, a crime thriller called 'Piggy Monk Square,' was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Writers' Prize and broadcast on RTE's Book On One.

When she's not making things up Grace loves walking and gardening. Her love of nature inspires her Ballyyahoo series of children's stories.
