I am an aspiring- author illustrator, who just joined this world of children's lit. Have always been a PB junkie- still buy them although my kids are 19, and 15! I've been an artist since I first got in trouble in Kindergarten, for drawing the Virgin Mary in a slinky strapless gown! (haven't all we artists gotten in trouble at some point over our art?)

I've been lucky ever since to make my career out of my all-consuming love for any kind of art.

After majoring in fine art, I became an art director back in the dark ages of press type, rubber cement, and exacto knives. When my daughter was born in 1988, I left that job, started painting and haven't looked back. ..
I've had some wonderful opportunities to be involved in some great public art projects-please check them out on my website! eileengoldenberg.com. Next one coming up is a traveling exhibition of pieces of the Berlin Wall.

I hope this is the time in my life that I'll realize my dream of publishing a children's book. It's a daunting task, I realize, with tons of extemely talented folks, but I'll keep plugging away!
