I am an author of the Planet of the Dogs Series of books for children 6-12 and dog lovers of all ages.

The titles are Planet Of The Dogs, Castle In The Mist, and Snow Valley Heroes, A Christmas Tale. The books are published by Barking Planet Productions in Marblehead, MA.

I realize that librarians may take issue with recommending the books for the broad reading spectrum of 6-12, but we have found enthusiastic receptions throughout that age range. Actually, we have mothers who have written to us about reading to eager four year olds.

The books take place long, long ago, before there were dogs on planet earth. Dogs lived in peace and happiness on their own planet. When they learned of all the problems people were having on planet earth, they came down to teach people about loyalty and love and to help them find peace from invading warrior tribes.

Snow Valley Heroes takes a somewhat different turn -- the dogs must go to the far North to help Santa and save Christmas.
