To READ, WRITE, INSIRE is Dimity's ideal. To 'just keep swimming' is her mantra as an Aspiring Children's Author.Indulging in the magic of Children's Literature is her full time occupation in addition to motherhood, director of transport services, head of functions and catering, grounds keeping and animal control. She believes chocolate and icecream sustains life and that one day her daughter's bookshelf will possess all of the children's books that she has written. Creating picture books for children and sharing the love of reading with 0 -100 year olds fulfills her in ways icecream can't.

Apart from all the gunff below, Dimity has been busy airing more of her stories for kids in various anthologies for kids through Prints Charming Books. Her work appears in The Charms Trilogy 2013, Keepsakes 2014, Lucky Draw and Zoo-thology 2015 with another in the Lodestone collection due out in 2016. She continues to place in short story competitions and recently published another winning entry in the Short and Twisted 2015 edition adult anthology.

Her first picture book with EK Books is due out early 2017. There are not enough words to describe her joy about this.

She's been invited to present sessions on Getting Kids to Write as part of Aquinas College's Reading Roadshow 2012.She's also conducted Writing Workshops on picture books for Primary students as part of Book Week 2011. Her children's short story "Marcie's Green-Eyed Monster" has been published by AWO as part of their monthly Bedtime Stories for Children series."PS What About Christmas?" is a chapter book manuscript shortlised by Morris Publishing for their full publishing contract competition 2012.Has been short listed for the Marshall Allan Hill Writing for Children Award 2011 with a short story.+ Short listed in the top 10 final for the Kathleen Julia Bates Writing for Children Competition 2011 for a picture book manuscript.Achieved Top Ten placing for Pre school Picture Book Entries in the CYA Writing for Children Competition 2008, 2009 & 2010.Had a short story published in the NSW School Magazine Blast Off 2009 with "An Eggspensive Venture."
