Della Burford was born in Canada and graduated from the New York School of Interior Design, U. of A. and Queens. When very young she was encouraged to story-tell in her bird helmet and paint by her artist mother. After meeting her Twin Flame�Dale- she made her home in Toronto, Greece, Spain, Vancouver Mexico, England and most recently Vancouver Island. Her art/writing has been inspired by dreams, different cultures, ancient knowledge, and imagination. Her fascination with dreams had led her to create years of visionary �Dream Wheels�.She has authored/painted several books such as �Journey to Dodoland� which was extravagantly published in Los Angles and won a Printed Institute of America award. It was also an improv theatre production in New York and she helped in the playwrighting, co- direction, and costume. The second edition of this book has been published as "Dodoland Adventures". Her book which she authored/painted - �Magical Earth Secrets� (reality/fantasy) was published by the Western Canada Wilderness Committee- its environmental message is beautifully portrayed in what became a best seller in Canada . The companion �Environmental Activity Guide� was published. These have been theatre/storytelling productions in various locations in New York, at the Concert Hall in Stockholm,Guatemala, and the World Island Festival in Korea. The combination of �Dodoland� and �Magical Earth Secrets� is an interactive online experience at http://www.dodoland.com which has had 14 million hits in 14 years. Her latest series of paintings were made into the book �Miracle Galaxy�- a story of healing with eight angels who help those in crisis. Around this book she leads workshops in �creating you own healing story.� Della has had one woman shows, group shows and designed acrylic canvas for sets for productions of her stories in New York. She has lead writing and art "author" workshops in 300 venues including many schools and festivals.
