Lori Harris, the author of The Party's Over and editor of the novel entitled, Destiny: The First Novel in the Destiny Series, is a Southern California native. She resides with her husband and son in Riverside County, California, and has received an academic certificate with honors in creative writing, from Rio Salado College, where she is a member of the International Honor Society in Phi Theta Kappa.

Although the author's novel, The Party’s Over is fictional, she hopes her book will shed a light on the real life disease of sarcoidosis, which her sister had, and the disease is often misdiagnosed as asthma, bronchitis, AIDS, and various forms of cancer.

The author donates a percentage of the novel’s proceeds for medical research to decrease steroid usage, as well as to detect and eliminate sarcoidosis in its early stages.

Harris, is currently working on her next novel, Kitchen Talk: Missing Pieces~Unravel.
