I am the author of Surviving Mental Illness, My Story. I t was self-published by Outskirts Press on March 30, 2012. It is a memoir of my life experiences growing up with a mental illness and how I achieved recovery. I have also a website - www.surviving-mental-illness.com where my book could be purchased, have numerous press reviews, internet radio shows, and blog posts. I also am a Peer Advocate and have worked in the mental health system for a few years. I just got a job offer from the Jewish Board of Family and Children Services. I am really excited about it, since I will be working with older adults. Right now, I am writing a children's story on mental illness because I feel it is an important topic for children to understand and know about. I look forward to becoming a jacketflap member and hope I can learn new ideas from you.

My children's book Peter and Lisa is out now and is published. It is called Peter & Lisa: A Mental Illness Children's Story. It is a book about two people who suffer from mental illness and how they got better and recovered through proper medication and support by family and friends.
