Hello! I am the illustrator of Enemy Pie (Chronicle Books), Odd Velvet (Chronicle Books), Superhero Max (Random House) and Four boys Named Jordan (G.P. Putnam's Sons). Enemy Pie was a Reading Rainbow feature book that was narrated by the actor Ed Harris, in 2002. It was also narrated by the Emmy award winning actress Camryn Manheim (The Practice) on www.storylineonline.com. Artwork from Enemy Pie has been in a traveling interactive exhibit in museums around the country for the past 6 years, showing with Dr. Seuss, David Shannon and among other notable illustrators. I had the pleasure of being interviewed about my work in Enemy Pie by Katie Coutic, on the TODAY Show, in 2003. Four Boys Named Jordan was written by the award winning actress and singer-song writer for children, Jessica Harper. I also do alot of other artsy stuff for kids and adults (greeting cards, product design, murals and illustations for national pediatric pharmaseutical brochures). These brochures were permanent props on the set of the TV Medical drama, House, Fall 2008. On February 10, 2010, I was awarded an honorary citation from the House of Representatives, presented by State Representative, Susan Westrom, for my work as an illustrator for children, at the Capitol building in Frankfort, KY. Representative Westrom sponsored a Proclamation signed by the KY Govenor, Steve Beshear, and the Lexington Bluegrass Association of Realtors in a campaign against bullying in schools. They chose the picture book, Enemy Pie, to kick off this years "Safe Passage," month in March, 2010. I was also very honored to be made a Kentucky Colonel that day, and was presented with my official document. I received my BFA from the Art Academy of Cincinnati in 1995. I am a wife and mother of two. I love illustrating for children, it is my greatest passion and one of the most fulfilling endeavors of my life.
