I'm a freelance writer, photographer, and aspiring children's author. I've had a poem published in the SCBWI Bulletin and am waiting for the future issue of Babybug magazine that will contain my poem, “Fly Fishing.” My short story, “Assured Match,” won first place in a recent Georgia Writer’s Association contest and my YA novel submission, "Not Like Before," just won an Honorable Mention in the Writer's Digest 76th Annual Writing Competition for 2007. I am an active member of GWA and serve as a regional contact person for Southern Breeze, the Georgia/Alabama/Mississippi chapter of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
