Hello,
I have written a story called, Harry & Harriet Go Get Their First Haircut. I sent it to the Locks Of Love Organization and I got their approval to use their name in the story, and when the story is published and an event is scheduled I can register it with them and use their name and Logo to help promote that event. I need to find a publisher. Here’s a little about the story, and below that a little about the information they sent me.
Harry & Harriet Go Get Their 1st Haircut
(Comes with a 12 x 18 inch poster that tells the story with pictures. Comes in full color to hang and enjoy. Comes in color outlined to color in following the colors used in the outline, and comes in black and white to color in as you wish.)
1,991 words 33 pages with illustrations - The illustrations for the story I have in full color and black and white. That way the book can be a regular reading book and/or a coloring story book. Publishing the book in both styles I believe will sell. Children who are sick and waiting for a wig from Locks Of Love would enjoy reading the story, hearing the story, and coloring in the story. Here’s some information about the story.
Harry & Harriet are twins who have grown their hair since the day they were born. It has never been cut. They are starting school and decide they want they knew hairdos. Their mom takes them to get their hair cut and finds out the kids can donate their hair to Locks Of Love where wigs will be made for sick children who have lost their hair. This seems to make getting their first hair cut a little bit easier. Harry & Harriet both love their new hairdos, and have a wonderful first day of school.

“Harry & Harriet
have grown their long hair since
the day they both were born.
That’s five years for each kid.

Their hair goes down their backs,
and over their butts too.
It is always in braids.
They both want something new.”

Below is all the information I have received from the Locks Of Love company.
I do want to have this book published and share some of the profits with Locks Of Love, like donate so much from each book sold. Would love for you to be the publisher. I’ve watched many family members get cancer and lose their hair and would have enjoyed a wig from Locks Of Love. Please, if their is any way you can help get this book published, I will be forever grateful. I will do whatever it takes to make the book a success.

I was born on October 1939 in a middle class Catholic Christian family After education, I became a schoolmaster and worked 28 years in several government schools of Kerala, teaching English in middle school classes. Now I am residing at Vayalar, a village north of Cherthala town, which is between Alappuzha (Alleppey) town and Ernakulam (Cochin) city with my wife and two children. Wrote 18 novels in Malayalam including 4 works for children in my mother tongue. Got award for my two works.

My first novel 'The Azure of Solicitude' is published in United States and is now available through leading online stores like Amazon. My second novel is accepted by another publisher in US, which is now in production stage.

The characters of this story are different kinds of birds and four legged small beings. Some are loveful and some are wicked. The loveful beings fight with the wicked creatures. They never kill anyone. They want to re-establish justice. At Last the wicked ones are defeated. They repent on their past cruel deeds. They ecome good. My work is a moral for small children, which is covered with a sweet giving story. Indirectly the story summons the readers for standing together in the side of love and unity.

I'm not sure exactly how this all works but other people seem to be telling you about their books and desires to get published so I thought I would too, hope you don't mind. My children's book was a gift for my daughter for her first birthday, she was a preemie. The book is about a little girl who was born early and is early everywhere she goes from then on. Sometimes it works out well for her, sometimes it doesn't and sometimes it even gets her in trouble. I then gave it to my daughters NICU as well as other hospitals in Massachusetts. I have had alot of positive feedback and have decided to try to make it accessible to more people. I'm a licensed psychotherapist besides being a mom so I added a clinical section about the NICU and preemies all from my daughters perspective in hopes that it will be a good tool for parents, teachers and therapists to use with siblings of preemies. I was a member of a local writer's group for three years, the last two of which I presided. It was an odd experience. I went there expecting to meet "fired up" writers in training. Instead, I met a bunch of people with lousy grammar and composition skills who, instead of challenging each other to improve, just held each other's hands in approval. The publishing world is so competetive, I just can't understand that "smile and nod" approach. Is my experience normal or unusual?
