Karina Hahn is the illustrator for the children's book we are producing

The Evergreens, from when Little Douglas the Christmas tree is happily living in the forest with his family and friends. Then they begin to hear stories of their friends far away being taken away from their homes.

The Evergreens did not believe in the stories, nor did they want to believe in them. Then one day in late November, they came for The Evergreens, everyone was frightened.

Little Douglas was taken first, there was nothing anyone could do to stop them. One of the humans said " this one will bring a lot of money", Douglas did not understand what that meant.
Then they cut down his father, brother, and then his mother. But when they tried to cut down his sister they did something wrong and they just left her on the ground.

And this begins his journey through the Christmas season. From losing everything he knows, to meeting new friends and enemies, but he never gives up hope.

There is a happy ending to Little Douglas the Christmas tree.I registered
