I am a mother, teacher, traveler and artist. For 25 years I was a "trailing spouse" as my husband's career took our family to Russia, Poland and the Far East. Our lives were often difficult, but never boring, and as a result I have been blessed with a vault full of experiences and people to populate books and canvases.

I have always been a writer: magazine articles, educational literature, the occasional op-ed piece. I also do publicity pieces for a number of volunteer organizations, but my real interest is middle grade fiction and picture books.

With the kids grown and our family retired from life on the road, I have turned my attentions towards serious pursuit of my passions--writing, art and the occasional patchwork quilt.
