My creativity originates from a desire to be a storyteller. From the short stories written and illustrated in elementary school, to my course work in college, to the projects I currently illustrate, I have always desired to render images that depict more than mere moments, but hint at a greater narrative.

Born and raised in New Hampshire, the middle child of five kids, I owe much of my early love of art to my family. I would emulate my older brother’s artwork, while my mother would tutor and critique. In school, I excelled, after an early struggle with dyslexia, and made friends across social groups due to a healthy sense of humor and a popular artistic talent. By the end of High School, my ability to illustrate had come to define me.

At Syracuse University I shifted my focus from illustration to filmmaking, looking to explore yet another tool by which to tell stories. However, I still found outlets to draw which included course work in computer graphics, a comic in the school newspaper, and a summer gig drawing caricatures at Walt Disney World.

I continued the caricature job full-time after graduation, developing a cartoon style, increasing my speed, and learning from fellow artists. After nine years, I shifted my focus to freelancing and landed my first big series of jobs including drawing over 1000 images for Strang Communications.

I relocated from Orlando, Florida to Warwick, Rhode Island and married a costume designer who I have known since college. We now enjoy our home, a pet bunny, and a little girl. I continue to work for clients from my home studio and do caricatures at area fairs during the summer and fall seasons.
