Stacy S. Avary was born in Hale County, Alabama on October 9th. She began writing at the age of 15 which included short stories and poetry after her English teacher commented on her short story saying that she had true potential of becoming an author. After graduating high school and then serving some time in the United States Army, she continued to write and have her first book published in 2001 called "The Petersons' Attic" from Vantage Press, Inc. After some health set backs and needing time to recover, she went on the write and publish "The Enchanted Forest" and "Talks With God" in 2010. Stacy has over 90 poems and has now gotten a contract and publishing partnership with Majestic Records for song writing. Along the way, she has contributed an essay in "Why We Wrote" from PublishAmerica with proceeds going to the Red Cross. She has also contributed a recipe for "The Author's Cookbook" from PublishAmerica with proceeds going to hungry families. Stacy has been honored by "Cambridge Who's Who" in December 2010 as an author, poet and song writer. She is currently working on a full length novel and more children's inspirational stories. She continues to write poetry but chooses to remain unpublished in that area because "poetry is a personal thing". She is partnered with Joel Osteen Ministries, her donations going to orphaned children all over the world. Other donations include giving to the 'Kids' Wish Network' , Special Olympics and the CCFA, Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America. "Writing is one of my greatest pleasures and I hope to continue to do so for many years."
