Hi, there. I'm Debbie Reed Fischer, an author of teen novels. My first book, BRALESS IN WONDERLAND (Dutton Children's Books) comes out in April of 08, and I have a second novel coming out in 08 as well, titled SWIMMING WITH THE SHARKS (Flux). Now I live in South Florida, but I spent my childhood all over the US, England and Greece. During college, I studied and traveled in Israel for a year and a half. I consider South Florida to be my true home, and I'm happiest at the beach (or writing). I'm a graduate of the University of Miami with a degree in screenwriting, and I worked for many years as a talent and modeling agent in South Beach, which is the setting of my first book. Eventually, I left that crazy world, went back to school and became an English teacher for middle and high school. I've since quit teaching to raise my two young boys, and I'm grateful that I can write full time now.
