Paul Davenport was born in a small town in northern Maine, 120 miles north of Stephen King’s Bangor, where winter is still winter, with below-zero temperatures and knee-deep snow! As a boy, his enthusiasm for fishing led him deep into the Maine woods in search of the wily brook trout. Those magic times instilled in him a love of nature that has remained throughout the years.
After graduating from college with a major in English, he soon after moved to Germany, where he’s been living with his wife and family ever since.
Paul began to write about fifteen years ago, mainly articles for journals for EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teachers at first, then readers for 6th to 9th grade EFL students. For a complete list of my published works, check out www.davenport-stories.de
A highlight in his writing career was when his story ‘Crossroads to Love’ (a Teen Reader book) was chosen as a finalist in the Extensive Reading Foundation’s choice for reader of the year 2007. Another highlight followed in 2008, when ‘Horror Trip on the Pecos River’ was chosen as the best reader of the year in the same competition.
Paul’s hobbies include table tennis, reading and fishing. He’s still after those wily brook trout!
