After graduating from Art College, I taught until recently, which included teaching and travelling in India. I have explored writing and illustrating picture books, completed one adult novel and at present am working on the second novel in an historical trilogy (a quest starting in the Napoleonic Wars) for young adults. People and their contexts, including location and historical setting, have been inspirational. Having lived on the Isle of Wight for many years and regularly visited Cornwall, I love exploring countryside and coastline. Both locations feature in my books. I now live in the New Forest where, apart from exchanging red squirrels for grey, fresh ideas are fermenting!
