Catherine Ipcizade is a writer/editor/instructor living in Southern California. She writes both fiction and non-fiction and has published four books: 'TWAS THE DAY BEFORE ZOO DAY, Sylvan Dell Publishing; AFRICAN ANIMALS: ZEBRAS, Capstone Press; AFRICAN ANIMALS: LIONS, Capstone Press, and AFRICAN ANIMALS: GIRAFFES, Capstone Press. She has five books forthcoming from Capstone Press, tentatively titled: WORLD OF COLOR: RUSSIA, BIG PREDATORS, BIG TRUCKS, BIG BUGS, and BIG ROLLER COASTERS.

Catherine has published more than 300 articles for adults, in publications including The United States Turkish Times,Avenues Magazine, and Families.com. She has written for magazines, newspapers, greeting cards, web content companies, blogging sites, etc.

As an editor, Catherine edits on a freelance basis. She has worked as an assistant editor for Thirteen Minutes Magazine, and has edited for Keen Owl Children's Books.

As an instructor, Catherine will be teaching for the UCLA Writer's Extension Program in the fall.
